Built-In 9-Stop Motorized ND Filter System
The Zenmuse X9 features an integrated motorized ND filter system offering 9 physical stops of light control (ND 2 to ND 512, or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7). Easily switch between filter levels in seconds, allowing for precise exposure control in changing lighting environments without interrupting your shoot.
Full-Frame 8K/60fps and 4K/120fps ProRes Recording
Delivering uncompromising image quality, the X9 supports internal recording of Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 4444 XQ, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 LT, and H.264 formats. Capture full-frame video at up to 8K/60fps or enjoy ultra-smooth slow motion in 4K/120fps. It also supports the ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) workflow for seamless post-production integration.
Interchangeable Lens Mount System
The Zenmuse X9 camera supports DJI’s native DL mount and is compatible with a wide range of third-party mounts, including Leica L, Leica M, Sony E, and ARRI PL. This flexibility allows creators to use professional-grade lenses across multiple cinematic styles.

At the heart of the system is the Zenmuse X9-6K full-frame camera, equipped with dual native ISO and support for DJI’s proprietary DL mount as well as third-party mounts like Leica M and Sony E via adapters. The X9 captures stunning cinematic footage with an impressive dynamic range and color depth, and supports ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ, and H.264 formats for maximum post-production flexibility. The Ronin 4D’s defining innovation is its 4-axis stabilization system. Unlike traditional gimbals, this model incorporates Z-axis stabilization that compensates for vertical motion, making handheld or walking shots smoother and more organic — without the need for an external Steadicam setup.
Focus accuracy is taken to new heights with DJI’s LiDAR Range Finder, which projects over 43,000 ranging points to enable fast, reliable focusing even in low-light or shallow depth-of-field scenarios. Combined with the new ActiveTrack Pro algorithm and compatibility with manual or autofocus lenses, this system ensures filmmakers maintain sharp focus in complex scenes. Wireless transmission is equally robust. With DJI’s O3 Pro Video Transmission System, users can send 1080p/60fps video at ultra-low latency over distances up to 6 kilometers. The system includes AES 256-bit encryption for secure transmission and supports multi-device monitoring, focus pulling, and camera control through the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor and associated accessories.

The Ronin 4D-6K features a built-in 9-stop ND filter system for seamless exposure control across lighting environments, and supports internal SSD recording with DJI's 1TB PROSSD or external drives via USB-C. Audio capture is equally professional, with dual XLR inputs and a 3.5mm mic port, making it ideal for broadcast-level productions. The modular build includes detachable hand grips, a 5.5” touchscreen monitor, and compatibility with Ronin accessories such as the focus motor, video transmitter, and follow focus units. The system is powered by TB50 intelligent batteries — the same used in the Inspire 2 — allowing hot-swapping and delivering approximately two hours of runtime per charge. With a fully built configuration including camera, LiDAR, monitor, SSD, and handles, the Ronin 4D-6K weighs just under 5 kg, making it remarkably portable for its class.
